Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: 10 August 2026
This page explains what we do with your personal information when you contact us through this website, and what this website stores on your device.
The short version: this website does not use cookies, does not track you and does not run advertising or analytics. The only personal information we hold is what you type into the contact form, and we use it solely to reply to your enquiry.
1. Who we are
Lynch Demo & Recycling Ltd is the data controller for the information described on this page. That means we decide what is collected and what happens to it.
- Company: Lynch Demo & Recycling Ltd, a company registered in Ireland
- Company registration number: 499125
- Registered office: Stradbally, Co. Laois, Ireland
- Email: info@lynchdemoandrecycling.ie
- Phone: John 086 369 8797 or Sean 087 346 9966
2. What we collect and why
We only collect personal information when you choose to send it to us. We do not build profiles, and we do not collect anything in the background as you browse.
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your name, phone number and email address | When you fill in the enquiry form | So we can get back to you about the job |
| Site location and details of the work | When you fill in the enquiry form | So we can understand the job and price it |
| Whatever you tell us on a call or by email | If you ring or email us directly | To quote for and carry out the work |
We do not use your details for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we never sell or rent your information to anybody.
3. Our lawful basis
Under the General Data Protection Regulation we need a lawful basis to handle your information. When you send an enquiry, we rely on:
- Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) You have asked us to quote, so we need your details to do it.
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Running and responding to enquiries about our business, where doing so does not override your rights.
We do not ask for or hold any special category data, and we do not make any automated decisions about you.
4. Who else sees your information
We use a small number of service providers to run the website and our email. They only process your information on our instructions.
| Provider | What they do | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Blacknight Solutions | Hosts our email | Ireland |
| Netlify | Hosts this website, receives and stores contact form submissions, and keeps short-term server logs | Outside the EU/EEA |
| Google Fonts | Supplies the typefaces used on this site. Your device requests the font files, which means your IP address reaches Google. No cookies are set. | Outside the EU/EEA |
Where a provider is outside the EU/EEA, transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard. We may also pass your details to our accountant or insurer, or to somebody else where the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within one year. Where we carry out work for you, we keep the records for as long as we need them for the job and then for six years afterwards, which is what Revenue and our insurers require.
6. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete it
- restrict or stop us using it
- send it to you or somebody else in a portable format
- object to us using it where we rely on legitimate interests
Email info@lynchdemoandrecycling.ie and we will deal with it within one month. There is no charge.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie, or by post to 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28.
7. Cookies and this website
This website does not use cookies. It sets nothing on your device: no cookies, no local storage, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags and no analytics of any kind.
Because nothing is stored on your device and nothing is read back from it, there is no consent banner on this site. Under the ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. 336/2011), consent is required before storing or accessing information on a visitor's device. We do neither, so there is nothing to consent to.
Server logs
Our host, Netlify, records standard technical information when a page is requested, such as the IP address, the time, and which page was loaded. This is used for security and to keep the site running, it is kept for a short period, and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Fonts
The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. This does not set a cookie, but your IP address is sent to Google when the font files are requested.
Video
The videos on this site are hosted on our own website and play without involving any third party. If we ever embed video from YouTube, that would set cookies, and we would update this page and ask for your consent first.
Changes
If we add anything to this site that uses cookies, we will update this page and put a consent banner in place before it goes live.
